Prades le Lez is 8 miles from the centre of Montpellier, on the northern edge of the metropolitan area. The garrigue, typical of the Languedoc region, begins at the edge of the village. The beaches are 14 miles away.

The gite (the red point on the map) is just outside the village, at the top of a hill, in the middle of vineyards, the garrigue, and vast piney woods. The little country lane definitely lives up to its name of "Bellevue".

Less than a mile below is the old village, with its shops, a supermarket, doctors, nurses, pharmacies, etc.
